Thanks for that 2nd time today I’ve come across the cooking market. Perhaps I’ll look for a niche.

We should all be aware of this or else we newbies will think making money online is a myth as we go for those big words and got killed!

    cheers

I’ve just reviewed all of the free videos and plan on putting them all to use. I can’t wait to get started on the next video series for training. This program sure is making WordPress simple and I like that you are explaining everything in detail.

    Thanks,
    Betty

This is an important difference. Recently, a ‘guru’ suggested using a blog to sell top-rated coffee-makers while I had a blog only to sell a top-brand coffeemaker (a niche). So, it seemed more reasonable to me to be specific in my content and keywords to use a niche rather than a market to accomplish my goal.

i guess the real challenge is to pick the right niche and the right keywords.

I think you also have to be careful when selecting a niche as drilling too far down could actually be just as bad as being too broad in your selection. I am thinking building a blog around say a particular video game may make you money when it first comes out but you will be stuck when the craze for that game has blown over whereas picking something more evergreen such as brownie recipes in the cooking market as mentioned in the video will most likely always be fairly popular and there would be more scope for finding different recipes.

At the end of the video you guys said that hopefully makes sense to everybody and I thought: yeah totally! and not noy only made sense but also just save me a lot of time and disapointment because I have been working in getting some keywords for some affilate thing that I am doing and now I am crystal clear which ones of my keywords I am going after.
    Just amazed about your classroom

    thanks again guys
